Midsouth Three-Day Event to Host Training Three-Day
The 2009 Hagyard Midsouth Three-Day Event organizers are going to have their hands full this fall! This prestigious event has just signed on to host a SmartPak Equine/USEA Training Three-Day Event during their show from October 15-18 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.
In addition to hosting a T3DE, Midsouth also holds one of five classic-format CCI1* events in the country. They also offer a team challenge competition, a CIC1* (without steeplechase), as well as horse trials from Beginner Novice through Preliminary.
"We are really excited about hosting a Training 3-Day!," said Mary Fike, organizer for the Midsouth Three-Day Event. "We have talked about adding it for several years but this year seemed the time to do it. Everything is already in place with the existing one-star. Our event has been committed to keeping the long format as long as it is viable and we thought that a Training Three-Day was a perfect partner to that end."
