Meet the Teams: The Intercollegiate Edition

By Kaleigh Collett - USEA Staff | May 11, 2026

The countdown to the 2026 USEA Intercollegiate & Interscholastic Eventing Championships continues! The USEA can't wait to meet the Intercollegiate and IEL competitors, team representatives, coaches, and supporters at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, in a couple of days.

The Intercollegiate Eventing Program continues to field massive numbers in the annual championships, further solidifying their dedication to continuing their passion for eventing while pursuing their undergraduate degrees. This week, there will 134 entries in the Intercollegiate Eventing Championship, who will come together to make 36 teams that represent 16 colleges and universities.

As the USEA and its programs embark on the first ever standalone event, hosted solely for program members and participants of the Stable View Alumni Cup, we wanted to find a special way to invite our viewers into the spirit and camaraderie of the event. With this in mind, the colleges and IEL Clubs participating in this year's championships were challenged to create a 60-second or less video that introduces their team and the individual competitors representing them. Click here to view yesterday's post with the IEL Club's submissions and keep scrolling to watch the Intercollegiate videos!

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina

Hey! My name is Breeze Robertson, and this is Bella, the pony I will be competing at the USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championships. I have the pleasure of representing The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. When I am in my hometown of Aiken, I ride with Radway Eventing and compete in Pony Club with the Radway Eventing Pony Club Center. My goal this year is to compete at this show and make it to the Pony Club Championships once again.

Kennesaw State University

Meet the KSU eventing team! Coming from Kennesaw is Jameson Brooks alongside her trusty Irish Draught, Max. They have helped each other learn the world of eventing over the past year and a half and are ready to take on the novice this weekend! Eager to represent her school in the sport, Jameson is leading the creation of the Kennesaw Eventing Club. Hooty hoo!

About the USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Program

The USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Program was established in 2014 to provide a framework within which eventing teams and individual competitors could flourish at universities and colleges across the country. Many events across the country offer Intercollegiate Team Challenges where collegiate eventers can compete individually or in teams with their fellow students. In Intercollegiate Team Challenges, each rider’s score is multiplied by a coefficient appropriate for their level to account for differences in level difficulty, and then the individual scores are added together to determine the team score. The USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship is a capstone event for the program, which is held annually in the spring. The 2026 USEA Intercollegiate & IEL Championships will be held at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, on May 15-17. Click here to learn more about the Intercollegiate Eventing Program.
