In Memoriam: Don Randle

Don Randle, 60, of Cheyenne, passed away Feb. 28, 2016.
Don was born March 22, 1955, in Loveland, Colorado.
In 1959, Don moved to Jackson, where his father had work as a carpenter. Don grew up enjoying the outdoors, climbing, hiking and skiing. He graduated from Jackson Hole High School and went on to the University of Wyoming. He graduated from UW with a B.S. in wildlife biology/animal science.
In 1976, he married Deeda Johnson, and together, they started the Soda Fork Outfitters. In 1986, he was in an accident that left him paralyzed. Don and his family then moved to Laramie so Deeda could work at Mears Morgans. Don helped raise their two children and went back to school for his degree in structural engineering. In 2002, Don graduated, and they moved to Cheyenne for a job at Truss Craft.
Don was an active volunteer, a member of the Wyoming Outfitters Association, a Free Mason and a huge supporter of his family. Married to the Area IX Chair, Don also was an active volunteer for the United States Eventing Association (USEA) where he gave back to the sport regularly scoring events.
Don is survived by brother, Robert Randle; wife Deeda; son Jeremy; daughter Kari; and a granddaughter.
His memorial service will be on at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Cheyenne.
