All 30 horses that completed the cross-country yesterday were presented to the Ground Jury for the Final Horse Inspection this morning. Twenty-nine were accepted and will move on to showjumping this afternoon. Meghan O'Donoghue's Pirate and Kendal Lehari's Daily Edition were sent to the holding box, but the jogs ended on a high note when they were both accepted upon reinspection. James Alliston's highest place horse, Tivoli, ninth after dressage, was also held but sadly was spun upon reinspection. Both of Andrew Nicholson's horses, Quimbo and Calico Joe currently placed first and second, looked sound and ready for the final phase. Opening ceremonies begin at 12:30. Show jumping starts at 1:30. The Rolex Kentucky After Party, which will air the NBC broadcast of the event in the Rolex Stadium, is at 4:00 p.m. following the awards ceremony. Check back this evening for a full report and photos from the exciting conclusion of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event and USEF CCI4* Championship and watch the USEA's Twitter and Facebook for live action reports.
