Emergency Medical Team Secured as Sponsor for AEC

The USEA is delighted to announce that the East Texas Medical Center is graciously offering its emergency medical services as a silver level sponsor in the 2013 Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships, presented by VTO Saddlery, September 26-29 in Tyler, Texas.
“The ETMC EMS is proud to sponsor the American Eventing Championships being held in Tyler this year. As one of the nation's largest rural ambulance services, as well as one of its most progressive and fastest-growing providers, teaming with the USEA to assure for the safety of all AEC competitors was a natural connection,” said Neal Franklin, General Manager.
The East Texas Medical Center will provide one dedicated medical unit, a requirement for all sanctioned horse trials, for the duration of the competition. This includes an ambulance with a fully functional MICU, a paramedic, and an EMT. They will also supply one dedicated EMS bike team on site September 27 and 28.
“The USEA greatly appreciates the generous support from East Texas Medical Center,” said USEA CEO Jo Whitehouse. “The safety of our members is of the utmost importance, and for ETMC to freely provide complete medical coverage for the American Eventing Championships is a wonderful gesture and one for which we are truly thankful. Knowing that our USEA community is in such safe hands at our upcoming championships is the best news we could have hoped for, and while we all hope the medical staff have a very quiet weekend, their presence gives us all great peace of mind.”
