I stumbled across a fabulous array of articles written by Faith & Ronald Meredith of the Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre in Waverly, WV, a nationally accredited equestrian career college dedicated exclusively to preparing students for successful careers with horses. Quite an interesting program – I have to say, I’m impressed! If anyone has attended this college or knows someone who did, I’d love to know more about it.
Anyways, the articles cover both riding and training , discussing topics such as common rider faults and fears, relaxation & balance in the saddle, and most importantly (in my opinion), communicating with your horse in a positive and understanding way. I skimmed over several of the articles, and I highly recommend settling down in a nice, comfy couch and a cup of tea and perusing the whole bunch on a rainy day.
