Buck Davidson Clinic Report

Members of Area V Eventing; welcomed Buck Davidson back down to Texas for a weekend clinic on February 26-27, 2011. The clinic was held at the beautiful Greenwood Farm, Inc. in Weatherford, TX where the grounds are beautiful and the jumps are challenging. Buck had a full roster of willing participants ranging in skill from Beginner Novice through Preliminary and he did not disappoint!
The riders in Texas always enjoy when Buck can come down and share his vast knowledge and love of the sport. Karen Trout from Brookshire, TX says, "Buck is hands down the best clinician I've ridden under, and I've ridden for many Olympians in the past. With Buck, you feel special, and he absolutely zeros in on your weakness. Best part of his clinic is his light hearted style of making sure everyone has fun!" Best advice he gave Karen over the two day clinic was to point those knees down!
With two full days of instruction, each rider came away with something new to try and work on. Kristy Limon, Area V Board of Governors Area Rep and clinic organizer said, "My favorite thing about the clinics that I do with Buck are that I ALWAYS leave feeling better about my riding than I did before." Maddie McElduff, age 10, and the youngest participant said, "Buck told me I am in charge of my pony Rosie, not the other way around! I like that Buck asks me what I want to work on and then we get to go do it. This means we get to jump the big stuff!"
As you can see Buck is beloved here in the south, and this group of riders proved it by filling up the next clinic to be held in August at the Texas Rose Horse Park in Tyler, TX in about five minutes! Thanks Buck for the great instruction and willingness to help us become even better riders. Good luck with your riding season, and we can't wait to see you again in August to get us ready for the Nutrena/USEA American Eventing Championships. With Buck's help Area V is sure to be very competitive.
