By Aspen Farms | September 9, 2016

For the fourth year in a row Aspen Farms Horse Trials in Yelm, Wash. is hosting an Advanced level national qualifier for the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series. This year’s course consists of 23 fences over a 3,720 meter course designed by Tremaine Cooper. The optimum time is 6 minutes and 32 seconds.

Advanced cross-country will begin Saturday, September 10th at 1:15 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to come watch the action and cheer for the Pacific Northwest’s upper level riders.

The first combination comes up at 6abc, a log (6a) followed by an incredibly steep slope to a ditch (6b) and out over a skinny log stack (6c), which is off to the right.

The Kerrit's Mound at fence 7 features a keyhole with a drop on the landing side.

Horses get their feet wet at the Toklat Water (10abc).

10c will require an accurate ride out of the water.

12ab - Tri Power Bank.

Travers Jeep.

Tremaine was kind enough to let competitors choose their corner at 15ab.

Gallops Water (16ab) features a water-to-water fence (16a) and a few more beautiful views!
