The final day of Aspen Farms Horse Trials and the USEA Area VII Championships in Yelm, Wash. delivered sun and mild temperatures as nearly 300 competitors made their final bids to secure top placings and prizes in divisions from Beginner Novice to Advanced.
Today Aspen Farms Horse Trials welcomed nearly 300 horses and riders from throughout the Pacific Northwest, California, and Canada for the start of their tenth anniversary horse trials in Yelm, Wash.
Aspen Farms Horse Trials and Area VII Championships will proceed as scheduled this Friday, September 8 through Sunday, September 10
For the fourth year in a row Aspen Farms Horse Trials in Yelm, Wash. is hosting an Advanced level national qualifier for the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series. This year’s course consists of 23 fences over a 3,720 meter course designed by Tremaine Cooper. The optimum time is 6 minutes and 32 seconds.
It is with great sadness that we report that Harrison, ridden and owned by Amy Evans, was humanly euthanized after retiring on the Preliminary cross-country course at Aspen Farm Horse Trials on Sunday, June 12, 2016.
Aspen Farms in Yelm, Washington are hosting and Open Class Challenge with $1,500 in prizes during their June 10-12 Horse Trials. The levels offered are: Open Training, Open Novice, and Open Beginner Novice. It is limited to the first 40 competitors to enter and it costs an addition $25 which goes to the prize money. In addition to the $1,500 in prizes there will also be ribbons through 12th place.
