AEC Fever Heats Up - Wednesday, September 5
The 2012 Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships, presented by Bit of Britain, kicked off the festivities Wednesday, September 5th. As competitors made their way onto the grounds and unloaded their trailers, others were walking Hugh Lochore's cross-country courses and scoping out the vendors. Title Sponsor Nutrena hosted their popular Retriever Demonstration this evening followed by a delicious Welcome Barbecue.
The USEA was busy setting up its merchandise tent in front of the Grand Prix arena and spending time on course checking out the fences. On Thursday, a virtual cross-country course walk will be available for all levels on the USEA website, and if you are a night owl, you will be the first to see the video course walk brought to you by Josh Walker and Frankie Thieriot, featuring interviews with course designer Hugh Lochore and a host of competitors, too!
The competition itself begins at 8:00 Thursday morning with Training through Advanced riding their well practiced dressage tests. It is sure to be a fantastic week, so stay tuned to USEA for tons of daily photos, video coverage, and interviews throughout. Good luck to all the competitors!
