Five Points Horse Trials held their inaugural Classic Series event from Sept. 5-7 in Raeford, North Carolina. Nineteen pairs contested the Beginner Novice Three-Day, while another 19 competed in the Novice Three-Day.

The Event at Rebecca Farm attracts riders from all over the United States to its beautiful setting in Kalispell, Montana, every July. Held this year from the 16^th-20^th, the event hosted four stacked divisions of the USEA Classic Series at Novice and Training levels.

This year, on Sept. 6–7, the Five Points Horse Trials at the Carolina Horse Park in Raeford, North Carolina, will offer something eventers in the Southeast haven’t seen in years: long-format divisions.

The first USEA Classic Series event of 2025 was held at the IEA Horse Trials in Edinburgh, Indiana, from May 30-June 1. We caught up with some of the winners to learn more about their weekends!

Conditioning plans can vary from 12 weeks down to four weeks. The most important thing is to remember that the plan should fit the horse and rider, not vice versa. There are general templates but all schedules will look different and should be tailored to you and your horse’s specific needs.
