On the evening of Saturday, September 7, 2024, the USEA, Inc. and, by extension, the USEA Foundation, learned of allegations of equine abuse and were provided links to videos of a rider striking a horse.
This week kicks off arguably the busiest week in eventing in the United States as the 2024 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena Feeds gets started at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. This national championship will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 27, and run through Sunday, Sept. 1, and will feature competition from the Starter level all the way up through the $60,000 Adequan USEA Advanced Final.
The 2024 Adams Horse Supply USEA Adult Team Championships (ATC) are shaping up to be an exciting showdown amongst members of the USEA Adult Rider program from around the country! There are 49 teams made up of 193 Adult Riders from coast to coast competing in the Beginner Novice, Novice, Modified, Training, and Preliminary Adult Team Championship this year. The Adult Team Championships will be offered once again at the Beginner Novice, Novice, Training, Modified and Preliminary levels for members of the USEA Adult Rider Program.

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is pleased to announce the addition of the Modified Rider division beginning at the 2023 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC), presented by Nutrena Feeds. The USEA AEC will move back to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky August 29–September 3, 2023.
It has been brought to the attention of the United States Eventing Association (USEA) that there have been issues with mail delivery by the United States Postal Service (USPS) to the USEA office associated with the busy holiday season. There have been numerous reports by members of letters being sent to the USEA office which have not been received dating back to before the Thanksgiving holiday. We are working with the USPS to attempt to address and resolve this situation. John Steinbeck once said, “It seems to me Montana is a great splash of grandeur.” There will be 23 teams competing for their own grandeur in the upcoming Adult Team Championships (ATC) at the USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena Feeds on August 31 - September 4 at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell, Montana. With 92 riders representing nine of the ten areas competing, fellow adult riders will add a great splash of splendor to Montana.
The USEA Board of Governors (BOG) concluded a productive two days of the August BOG meeting on Wednesday, August 9th in Dulles, Virginia led by USEA President Max Corcoran. All but four BOG members were able to attend in person this year. Many key items related to eventing in the U.S. were discussed at great length including safety, membership strategies, competition procedures, visibility of the sport, and more over the course of the two-day gathering.
