72 Horses to Start Dressage Competition at Rolex Kentucky Tomorrow

The 2016 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event is officially underway with the completion of the First Horse Inspection. 72 horses were presented and accepted. Three of these were sent to the hold box, but accepted after re-presenting: Frankie, ridden by Ryan Wood, HS Cooley, ridden by Liz Halliday-Sharp, and Super Socks BCF, ridden by Matt Brown.

Rachel McDonough withdrew Irish Rhythm before the horse inspection posting on her Facebook page, “Oliver was not feeling his normal self and I feel this is the best decision for my boy.”

The dressage competition begins tomorrow with the test ride at 8:00 a.m. and the first competitor, Phillip Dutton and Fernhill Fugitive, will begin their test at 8:30 a.m. The USEA Booth at Rolex is fully assembled and ready for shoppers tomorrow, so when you hit the trade fair, don’t forget to stop by booth 34!
