2014 Developing Riders/Eventing 25 Training Sessions are Ongoing in California

For the second year, a group of selected Developing Riders of 25 and under who have earned a qualifying score at the CCI2* level have been invited to intensive training sessions with Chef D’Equipe David O’Connor, January 14-17 in Temecula, CA.
From Joanie Morris: “They have ridden two days of flat, one of grid work and will continue with course work and cross country. David is incorporating his lectures on the training scale, horse care, and general horsemanship. Dr. Bruce Kuesis came yesterday to discuss anatomy and lameness.
The weather has been 70 and sunny at the beautiful Tucalota Creek Ranch. Susie Hutchinson was on hand for a wine tasting reception sponsored by the ranch.”

Another week of training sessions will be held for riders who are closer to the east coast next week. These Developing Riders will be working with O’Connor at Meredyth South Farm in Ocala, FL, January 20-24.
