2014 Annual Meeting Preview: Drugs and Medication with Dr. Stephen Schumacher, and Applying for Grants with Elizabeth Lendrum

Drugs and Medication with Dr. Stephen Schumacher
Dr. Schumacher has been involved with the United States Equestrian Federations Equine Drugs and Medications Program for the last 17 years serving as a testing technician and testing veterinarian, and has been the Chief Administrator of the Equine Drugs and Medications program since December of 2006. Dr. Schumacher is a member of the FEI Veterinary Committee and was responsible for Equine Drug Testing at the 2010 World Equestrian Games. Dr. Schumacher received his B.S degree from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Applying for Grants with Elizabeth Lendrum
Beth has been involved with the USEA and the sport of Eventing on many levels since 1992. Included in those past and present roles are horse owner (On a Mission); Board of Governors member representing Area IX; Young Riders fundraiser for Area IX; VP of Education on the Executive Committee, Endowment Trust, and Chairman of the Nominating Committee; a member of the USEA Development Committee charged with securing funds to ensure the health and vibrancy of the sport of Eventing into the next decade; recipient of a Governors Cup in 2009; Committee Member for the Endowment Trust Rebecca Broussard Developing International Rider Grant; Chairman of Halt Cancer at X Grant affiliated with The Event at Rebecca Farm; and Hospitality Hostess at Rebecca Farm since the beginning at its current location. Beth currently splits her time between Montana and Utah, experiencing the best of both worlds and enjoying competitions with friends and family members. Also, she is a self-proclaimed bourbon aficionado, as are the rest of the Lendrum women.
