The 5th Annual Nunn Finer Than Carolina Eventing Series sponsored by Nunn Finer products and Bit of Britain begins its 2011 run in Area 3 at Paradise Farm on February 18-20, and concludes in Area 2 at The Ark on May 7. The two mid-series events are Southern Pines 1 on March 12-13 and FENCE on April 2-3.
Horse/Rider combinations earn points by placing 1st-5th at the four North and South Carolina Events at Beginner Novice, Novice, Training, and Preliminary. The lowest scoring Junior/Young Rider and Adult at each level (P, T, N, BN) will win special prizes donated by Nunn Finer. Riders competing in hybrid divisions (i.e. PT or TN) are also eligible for series awards for the level at which they rode cross country (i.e. PT riders earn points in the Training division). All riders are automatically entered at each of the participating events in all divisions (open, rider, horse, junior rider, etc.), but they must place at a minimum of two of the four events to win series awards. If a series division ends in a tie, it will be broken by averaging the riders’ placing final scores, with the lowest average winning. Thank you to Nunn Finer products and Bit of Britain for their continued support!
In eventing, riders go to great lengths to protect their horses from the demands of competition. Whether it’s the complex terrain of cross-country, the sharp turns of show jumping, or the long hours of hacking and training, every stride places stress on a horse's legs. Protective boots play a key role in guarding against impact injuries and strain—but they can inadvertently trap heat, potentially leading to fatigue, discomfort, and even long-term health issues.
The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is pleased to announce the continued partnership with Nunn Finer for 2024. Nunn Finer has been a supporter of the USEA for over 30 years and their assistance helps to fund some of the overall leaderboard cash prizes.
