Youth Board Advancement Grants to be sponsored by SmartPak and Equilite
The USEA Youth Board is proud to announce that the 2009 Youth Board Advancement Grants are going to be sponsored by SmartPak and Equilite, makers of Sore No More.
The USEA Youth Board will be awarding Youth Board Advancement Grants at the end of the summer to two deserving Junior/Young Riders. These grants will provide an opportunity for each selected rider to spend two weeks working and training at a high performance barn.
SmartPak has been a proud supporter of the USEA and currently is the title sponsor for the Training Three-Day Series. The company was founded in 1999 with the purpose of simplifying the administration of nutritional supplements and medications to horses. The patented SmartPak™ supplement feeding system has been adopted by thousands of barns and horse owners across the country, who value knowing that their supplements will be fed correctly. The SmartPak system has been embraced by riders from all disciplines and all levels, including seven Olympic medalists. In addition to the SmartPak supplement system, the company offers a broad line of horse health and rider items, dog supplies, and equine and canine pharmacy items sold through the company's catalog and Web site.
Equilite is the creator of the world famous liniment, Sore No More® liniment line. The original formula was voted Product of the Year 2000 and again in 2007 by The Horse Journal. These products have been used extensively by members of the USA Equestrian Team and various Olympians worldwide. Sore No More® became so popular as a liniment, Equilite increased its line to include a wide variety of products.
Jennie Brannigan, a member of the USEA Youth Board, is thrilled that SmartPak and Equilite have decided to sponsor the Grants because it gives young riders the chance to gain experience with sponsorship opportunities. “It is so important to learn early on how to effectively deal with top companies in order to be the most marketable rider to gain the sponsorships which are necessary to make it to the peak of our sport,” Jennie explains.
