Volunteers Needed for The Event at Rebecca Farm, July 23-26
Kalispell, Mont. (July 10, 2015) -The 14th annual Event at Rebecca Farm, July 23-26, will host nearly 600 competitors in one of the largest horse trials in the nation. Hundreds of volunteers are needed to run an event of this caliber and organizers seek new community members for this fun and rewarding experience.
Prior to The Event on July 22, the USEA Young and Future Event Horse Series will be featured and volunteers are needed for this as well.
During four days of competition, thousands of spectators come to see some of the finest riders in the nation, as well as promising young competitors. Admission is free with full concessions and trade fair all four days. A $5 requested parking donation supports the "Halt Cancer at X" campaign for breast cancer awareness, community outreach projects, and national research for the cure.
Volunteers get close to the action and no experience is necessary for most positions. Volunteers can work as scribes, jump judges, ring stewards, hospitality assistants, and much more.
Rebecca Farm will feature an international CCI 3-star division this summer, with a longer cross-country course and more difficult jumps. The CCI 3-star will be only the fifth of its kind in North America, and only the second in the West-another important step in Rebecca Farm's goal of providing the best of what U.S. Eventing can offer.
Lunch and t-shirts are provided and volunteers can work as much or as little as time allows, from just a half-day shift to the entire event. To sign up as a volunteer, please use the online form at www.rebeccafarm.org/Volunteer or call (406) 253-1862.
