USEA Podcast #277: The Valentine's Special

By USEA

It’s a Valentine’s Special this week on the USEA Official Podcast! Host Nicole Brown is joined by eventing powerhouse couples Jimmie and Dom Schramm and Sinead and Tik Maynard.

  • The episode begins with the background of the couple’s love stories which you won’t want to miss tuning in to hear. Sinead first met Tik when Max Corcoran offered him as help for her at an event at Rocking Horse and he enthusiastically met the challenge with running shoes on.
  • Jimmie then chimes in with her and Dom’s love story with claims that they started the trend in online dating. A Facebook message was sent that said, “Hey, Ryan Wood said you have a horse for sale and that you are going to be my next boyfriend,” and the rest is history!
  • Next, it is quiz time. The format consisted of three rounds: Newlyweds/Mr. & Mrs./General Knowledge. Brown had some questions for the girls and some questions for the boys and the answers need to match up – it is how well the couples know each other. The first round went to the girls having to guess their responses to the boys with “who is better at.”
  • The hot seat then turned to the boys with them having to answer facts about the girls.
  • In the last round, the couples were able to team up together and answered general eventing knowledge.
  • So, who do you think won the USEA’s Ultimate Valentine’s Day Quiz? Team Schramm or Team Maynard? Be sure to listen to the end to find out.
