The Countdown Is On: 90 Days Until AEC

By USEA

Only 90 days remain until the start of the 2014 Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC), presented by VTO Saddlery and the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Final. Returning to the Texas Rose Horse Park to celebrate ten years of the Championships, the AEC is sure to outdo itself with several changes.

For the first time in history, the Adult Team Championships (ATC) will be held at the AEC, providing a new level of cash and prizes for active adult riders to compete in a large and exciting environment. Each of the ten Areas may have up to eight teams of four riders from their Area at the USEA ATC, competing as a team at Beginner Novice through Preliminary. All teams should be coordinated through the Area Adult Rider Coordinator(s)and mixed teams are also allowed and encouraged. To read more about the ATC and how to qualify, click here.

The AEC will feature some new additions on the cross country course; most notably, Texas Rose is adding a second water complex with an island. The Nutrena Corral will be present on course again this year, as well as the exciting Adequan complex. For added enjoyment on behalf of the spectators, there will be food vendors on cross country, tented viewing areas, as well as live music being played in designated areas on course.

The USEA guarantees great food and entertainment at the event this year with a brand new catering company, exciting live music and party entertainment, and a Texas style beer garden.

Entries for the AEC open on August 12, 2014 and the USEA is offering an early entry discount of $100 to competitors who send in their entries postmarked on or before August 19, 2014. Please note that payment must be received with these entries in order for the discount to be applied. There will also be a gas card drawing for those who enter the AEC early via Xentry. Ten (10) winners will be randomly selected from the first 100 Xentry applications and will be given a gas card to help ease the cost of transportation to the event.

Make sure you and your horse are qualified.

We hope to see you in September!
