The Ram Tap Horse Park Horse Trials hosted the final USEA Classic Series Event of the year this past weekend in Fresno, California. The event offered three traditional long-format divisions at the Beginner Novice, Novice, and Training levels. Meet the final USEA Classic Series champions of 2024 below.
West Coast eventers experienced tremendous success in 2022. Tamie Smith recorded top-10 finishes at Badminton in England, at the FEI World Championships at Pratoni in Italy, and at the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill. Helen Alliston won the $60,000 Adequan USEA Advanced Final, and Tommy Greengard captured the USEA Intermediate Championship at the USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC), presented by Nutrena Feeds. James Alliston returned to the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event for the first time since 2017 and finished third in the CCI4*-S.

Nearly 20 promising young event horses turned out to compete at the first USEA Future Event Horse competition of the West Coast, held at Ram Tap Horse Trials in Fresno, California on May 1-2. "It was a gorgeous day and all the babies were very well-behaved. We all had a really fun time," said Connie Arthur, who helped organize the classes, while Janis Linnan served as the judge.
Tiana Coudray and Ringwood Magister, an 8-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding, jumped strong into the new season on the west coast with a victory at the Ram Tap Horse Trials, February 13-15, in Fresno, California, the first Advanced event of season on the west coast. They brought the blue home with a 36.1, jumping clean and adding only 2.8 time penalties on cross-country.
