For the first time in 15 years, an American will enter show jumping in first place at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event. Tamie Smith and Mai Baum are the first U.S. pair to lead the Kentucky five-star after cross country since Becky Holder and Courageous Comet in 2008. However, the bigger history they hope to make will be becoming the first American winners of the event since Phillip Dutton and Connaught overtook Holder and Courageous Comet for the 2008 title.
Members of the United States Eventing Association’s (USEA) Adult Rider Program are invited to a five-star experience at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event in 2023 by joining Derek di Grazia on a walk of the CCI5*-L cross-country course he’s designed. The USEA-hosted event will take place at 9 a.m. EST on Thursday, April 27.
Tickets will go on sale on October 5 for the 2022 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ and the $225,000 Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. This will be the first chance to reserve the best seats in the house for the “Best Weekend All Year!”
