Organized by Equestrian Events Inc. (EEI), the two world-class events return to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, April 28-May 1, 2022. Both events will feature elite horses and riders from across the nation and around the world, many of whom competed at this past summer’s Tokyo Olympic Games and will be competing at the 2022 FEI World Championships.
“As incredible as it may seem, next April will mark the first time in three years that spectators will be able to come experience the excitement of the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event and Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix in person,” said Mike Cooper, president of the board of Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI). “Now is the time to order tickets to guarantee that you can be part of the country’s premier equestrian event. I urge everyone to buy their tickets as soon as they go on sale!”

Known as “The Best Weekend All Year,” the Land Rover Kentucky is a thrilling multi-day competition featuring Olympic-level riders and horses in what can best be described as an equestrian triathlon. Horse and rider pairs compete in three phases of the competition – Dressage, Cross-Country and Show Jumping – for $375,000 in prize money.
LRK3DE is one of only seven annual Five Star three-day events in the world along with Badminton and Burghley in England; Luhmühlen in Germany; Pau in France; Adelaide in Australia; and the Maryland 5 Star in the USA. LRK3DE is the longest-running Five Star event in the Americas and as the United States’ premier event, it also serves as the Land Rover/USEF CCI-5*-L Eventing National Championship presented by MARS Equestrian™ for the U.S. athletes. Following the overwhelmingly positive response from riders, the Lexington 4*-S division will return providing even more exciting Eventing competition.
Tickets
Single-Day and Multi-Day tickets will be available. All ground admission tickets to the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event include general parking and admission to the Kentucky Horse Park and International Trade Fair, but do not include access to the competition in the Rolex Stadium on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Reserved grandstand seating is sold separately from ground admission and traditionally the best seats sell out, so everyone is encouraged to place orders as early as possible. Ground admission is free for children 12 years and under with adult ticket purchases. Early bird prices are only offered October 5-December 1, 2021 so it is best to order tickets as soon as they go on sale!
For a unique world-class Kentucky experience, exclusive Ringside Hospitality Packages are also available, including the Five Star Club (formerly Patron Plus), the Lakeside Club (formerly Patron Club), and Kentucky Club (Saturday only).
Tickets for the 2022 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ can be ordered online at www.kentuckythreedayevent.com/tickets or by calling 859-254-8123.
Pre-Sale Options Available to Kentucky Collective Donors
As a way of extending gratitude to those who donated their tickets and/or money over the past year to support the 2021 Land Rover Kentucky (which was held without spectators), EEI is offering a pre-sale period to those who qualify prior to ticket sales opening to the general public.
“We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to those who helped make the 2021 Land Rover Kentucky happen,” said Lee Carter, Executive Director of EEI. “The ‘Kentucky Collective,’ as we call them, truly stepped up and showed the world how supportive the eventing community can be. The 2021 Land Rover Kentucky was incredible, albeit very different without spectators in Rolex Stadium and across the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park. We are excited to offer qualifying Kentucky Collective supporters the chance to buy their tickets early this year and we look forward to welcoming them back to the 2022 Land Rover Kentucky in person!”
Those who qualify will receive an email in advance of tickets going on sale with information on when this pre-sale period will begin, and how to take advantage of this benefit.
