The 2024 USEA Area IX Championships featured six divisions at The Event at Archer in Cheyenne, Wyoming, from Aug. 16-18. Meet the new champions below!
Six new Area IX Champions were crowned during the Area IX Championship which took place alongside The Event at Archer in Cheyenne, Wyoming, August 18-21. Championship divisions were offered from the Starter level all the way up to Preliminary and the beautiful tracks at Archer offered some fierce competition for Championship competitors. The USEA caught up with each individual champion as they looked back on their performances in Cheyenne that helped them bring home the top prize.
The Area IX Championships took place in Mount Pleasant, Utah at the Event at Skyline in September of this year. The showgrounds were busy with five Championship divisions in addition to their nine horse trial divisions running over the course of the weekend, but competitors were thrilled with the atmosphere and experience at the competition. Five new Area IX Champions were crowned for 2021, and the USEA caught up with each of them to chat about their victories.
For over 20 years the USEA Instructors’ Certification Program (ICP) has been educating all levels of eventing instructors to confirm their knowledge base, both theoretical and practical, upon which they will continue to build throughout their teaching lifetime. The USEA is now shining the spotlight each month on some of the 300 ICP Certified Instructors.
The 2020 Area IX Championships were held on September 11-13 at The Event at Skyline in Mt. Pleasant, Utah at the Skyline Eventing Park. To be qualified to compete in the Area IX Championships, riders needed to earn one first through fifth place at an event with at least five starters in their division between January 1, 2019 and August 25, 2020.
