Intro to ICP Workshop with Sue Hershey

About Sue:

Sue has ridden since age 10, foxhunting as a teenager with the Genesee Valley Hunt (NY) hounds. She also was a member of the Genesee Valley Hunt Pony Club, competing in rallies and event competitions and finishing as an "A." After completing college and graduate school, she worked for 30 years in the regular world as a high school teacher and the school/college counselor at the Winchester Thurston School in Pittsburgh, PA. After convincing her husband that their two small children could not learn to really ride unless their ponies were close to them, horses have lived ever since on their suburban property just outside of the city. Having competed through the Preliminary level, Sue now shows mostly in dressage rings, so far through third level. (Funny how dressage-mostly becomes more appealing as the years pass....) Karen O'Connor and Sue started the USEA's Instructors' Certification Program in 2000, along with a committee of equally committed event competitors/instructors. The professional development which this program commits itself to enhancing among ICP-certified instructors and for the U.S. event world makes it truly a pleasure to manage.
