Congratulations to Hannah Hubsch of Shelbyville, Kentucky who won a year's supply of SmartPaks from the Training Three-Day Series title sponsor SmartPak Equine. Out of all the champions from this year's T3DE series across the country (eleven total events), Hannah was chosen at random for the grand prize.
Back in June, Hannah, 20, partnered with Mary Fike's palomino Thoroughbred/Belgian gelding Sunny Weather to lead the Indiana Eventing Association's T3DE from start to finish in her first long-format competition.
"It was the most fun I have ever had; it was a great learning experience for Sunny and I and I would recommend it to anyone," Hannah said. "It's the perfect goal for riders who might not want to go to the upper levels. Sunny and I have done well at so many other horse shows, but this one felt different, bigger, and better than all the rest! I knew we had to go into this three-day with all we had and we laid it all out on the table and came out on top. I really didn't know that I was in first--I just figured I was running in the middle of the pack because all the other competitors and their horses were really good! To this day it still feels unreal that at our first three-day we won it. It was and still is the greatest feeling and a goal completed!"
Since their big win at the Indiana T3DE, Hannah and Sunny Weather have won their last three events at Training level this year..on a score of 25.8 (yes, for all three events!).
Thank you to SmartPak Equine for this generous contribution! Be sure to check out the T3DE calendar for 2010 (bottom of the page).
