By USEA | September 30, 2010

Riding as an individual for Germany, Simone Deitermann currently holds the lead after the first day of dressage at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky, posting an impressive 36.0 this morning with Free Easy NRW. Her fellow German Ingrid Klimke, aboard FRH Butts Abraxxas, stands in second with 41.3, and William Fox-Pitt and Cool Mountain nip at their heels with a 42.0. Buck Davidson and Ballynoecastle RM is the top U.S. combination, after their 47.0 left them in 11th. Neville Bardos performed well for Boyd Martin, and they scored a 49.5 for 14th. The Germans are currently leading the team standings, followed by Australia, Great Britain, and Germany. The U.S. team is in fifth, with two more riders (Phillip Dutton & Karen O’Connor) left to ride tomorrow, while Becky Holder will be competing as the individual U.S. rider. Live Scores. Live Blog.
