Scavenger Hunt at the 2025 Adams Horse Supply USEA Adult Team Championships

The Adams Horse Supply USEA Adult Team Championships (ATC) is the capstone event for the USEA Adult Team Challenges hosted throughout the year across all 10 Areas. This year’s ATC at the USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds, gives adult riders competing from the Starter through Modified levels the chance to represent their Area, form lasting friendships, and enjoy the spirit of team competition.
To make this year’s championships even more exciting, title sponsor Adams Horse Supply is adding a twist once again—a photo scavenger hunt designed to bring teammates closer together while exploring the beautiful grounds of Galway Downs.
How to Participate
Teams will complete five photo challenges at various locations and submit one email with all five photos to Kate Lokey ([email protected]) by the end of the day on Sunday, Aug. 31. Team costumes are encouraged, so get creative!
In addition, participants are encouraged to share their photos on social media during event week by tagging Adams Horse Supply and the USEA and using the hashtag #AdamsATCScavengerHunt. Show the eventing community the fun and spirit of teamwork at the ATC!
Judging & Prizes
Submissions will be judged on:
- Completion of all required tasks
- Creativity – bonus points for teams with coordinated costumes or themed submissions
- Team spirit and FUN!
A special judging panel from Adams Horse Supply and the USEA will select the winning team after the event. Each winning team member will receive a prize pack from Adams Horse Supply, filled with equestrian essentials. Prizes will be mailed directly to recipients from the USEA office.
The Five Photo Challenges
- Thank a volunteer on the grounds and give them a high-five.
- Join one of the USEA’s course walks to prep for cross-country and take a photo with the professional leading your group.
- Take a photo with a rider you admire (professional or amateur).
- Show an act of good horsemanship with a team horse (grooming, grazing, etc.).
- Pose for a team photo at your favorite “iconic” backdrop at Galway Downs (examples: the metal horse sculptures, the Nutrena water complex, or another recognizable landmark).
Bonus TaskParticipate in one of the team activities at the Adult Rider Party on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the Ringside Tent and snap a photo of the fun. Please arrive at the party in team costumes or coordinated themes.

About the Adams Horse Supply USEA Adult Team Championships
The Adams Horse Supply USEA Adult Team Championships, which debuted in 2014, is the capstone event for the USEA Area Adult Team Challenges, providing adults the chance to compete as a team and represent their Area of the country in a friendly and fun environment. Historically, adult riders had three regional Team Challenges in which to compete with fellow adults in a team environment, with the locations changing each year. In 2013, the USEA Adult Rider Coordinators voted to move to support Adult Team Challenges taking place in all 10 Areas across the country, with the finale being the ATC at the USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds. Each Area can send up to eight teams from Starter Level to Modified Level to the ATC. Adult Riders know how to have a good time, and there is no doubt that they bring an increased level of excitement and camaraderie to the AEC!
