PRO TV Launches at Plantation Field International

By PRO - Press Release
Vero Beach, FL - The Professional Riders Organization is pleased to announce the launch of PRO TV with it's partners Equiventures Llc, and What's Up Media Group Inc. The inaugural online broadcasts will feature Plantation Field International CIC3* on September 20-21st and Galway Downs International CCI3*, November 1-2, 2014.
Leading the commentary team will be international event rider and BBC commentator, Spencer Sturmey, from Idebury, United Kingdom. Sturmey will be joined by Samantha Clark, host of the Eventing Radio Show and former NPR news anchor, based in Gloucestershire, United Kingdom and Lexington, Kentucky.
Spencer Sturmey, a member of the BBC commentary team at the recent Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, is an enthusiastic supporter of augmenting the eventing broadcast experience. "I am thrilled to be a part of the commentary team for the PRO Tour Series in the United States. Having attended the Ocala Horse Trials last April, I could see the potential and impact that a series can deliver. Co-presenting with Samantha Clark will be an exhilarating avenue, and I feel confident that this program will only grow with the enthusiasm it deserves."
"This is such an exciting opportunity to bring more coverage of eventing and the PRO Tour Series to the public," said Samantha Clark. "I'm also really looking forward to working with Spencer who has a wealth of knowledge and experience and has such an insightful point of view."
PRO TV plans to have a full team on site at both Plantation Fields International and Galway Downs International with multiple camera feeds to provide a high quality and exciting viewing experience combining both live stream action, recorded feature stories and profiles. Live stream coverage of Plantation Field International CIC3*, part of the PRO Tour & Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series, will showcase the CIC3* show jumping beginning at 11:30AM EDT on Saturday, September 20th. Cross country live stream coverage is scheduled to begin at 11:00AM EDT on Sunday, September 21st with highlights of Saturday's show jumping and coverage of the PRO Bareback Puissance, presented by Kevin Keane DVM and Sports Medicine Associates of Chester County, before the live stream coverage begins.
As President of Equiventures Llc. Richard Trayford is a partner in PRO TV with Joel Wiessner of What's Up Media Group Inc. of Ocala, Florida. "The addition of PRO TV to the PRO Tour will add an exciting new dimension to the sport of eventing. The participation of the best riders at the best venues, will highlight what can be achieved within a unified sport. With the bulk of the proceeds being filtered back into the shows, we will create a bright future for the sport and a cycle of prosperity for all involved."
"Galway Downs is excited to be working with PRO TV in its new venture to cover and produce PRO Tour events," said Robert Kellerhouse, President of Del Mar Eventing Inc. "We look forward to being a part of this new opportunity to raise awareness of eventing in North America."
Allison Springer, President of the Professional Riders Organization Inc. praised the effort of those involved in conceptualizing the planned broadcasts "There is an unmet demand for consistent broadcasting of eventing. We are all looking forward to producing high quality video coverage of these great competitions, which will allow so many more people who love eventing to follow the sport no matter where they are."

Alliston’s Busy Weekend, Braitling’s Reuniting with Five-Star Mount, & Kalkman’s Advanced Victory Highlight Twin Rivers Summer H.T.

As he was finishing tacking up his horse in preparation to navigate the cross-country course at the 2024 Twin Rivers Summer Horse Trials, James Alliston expressed concern about navigating the 101 Freeway. That’s because as soon as he crossed the finish line aboard Intermediate level winner Addyson (Ampere x Nickerbocker) at 10:38 a.m. on Saturday—his fifth cross-country round of the morning with three at Preliminary and two at Intermediate—the West Coast-based five-star rider had to drive 185 miles on the 101 Freeway from Twin Rivers Ranch in Paso Robles, California, to San Francisco International Airport to catch a 4:35 p.m. flight to Frankfurt, Germany.
