Phillip Dutton Eventing announces their first ever USEA Eventing Camp.
This camp will be held two times in 2008: June 2-6 and September 15-19, at Phillip and Evie Dutton's True Prospect Farm in West Grove, Pennsylvania. Camp participants will be inundated with training and education on three-day eventing and horsemanship.
In addition to lessons from Phillip, there will also be instruction from 4-star Australian rider Boyd Martin as well as private dressage lessons from Grand Prix dressage rider Silva Martin. Camp participants will be surrounded by internationally competitive riders and grooms, and will gain valuable knowledge and important skills. Educational activities include riding demonstrations by Phillip, Boyd and Silva. There will also be presentations from world-class veterinarians, fitness experts, from banner sponsor Cosequin, and from Kentucky Equine Research and Stoltzfus Feed and Supply, a helmet safety presentation by Charles Owen, and education of proper tack and equipment for the event horse and rider. The camp will also include video analysis of the cross-country training as well as review of additional videos. There are also several social events with the riders, instructors and presenters.
The week will conclude with course walks and combined tests at the level of each individual camp participant. The camps are open to riders at all levels. Be prepared to improve your riding and have a lot of fun at the same time! Auditors are also welcome.
