New Date, New Fences, and New Entry System For Flora Lea

By Flora Lea - Press Release | April 4, 2011

Flora Lea is once again moving forward with new efforts for their horse trials. A new Spring date of May 22, 2011 allows for more time for the preparation of the grounds, especially on the cross-country course. The previous date in early April limited what was possible to achieve.

After the great feedback from competitors on the new courses (designed by Morgan Rowsell) and much improved and enlarged water complex, Flora Lea is continuing to add new cross-country fences in 2011. The long range goal will be to offer Preliminary in the fall.

The organizing committee feels it is important to the sport to continue offering the one day horse trial where competitors can enjoy the sport and achieve their goals in an affordable and timely manner.

Flora Lea would like to encourage all competitors to use the USEA's new entry system, Xentry. Xentry allows riders to enter through USEA for all horse trials if the rider chooses to enter the competition in that manner. For competitors one of the main benefits is the choice of using credit card payment. For organizers it should make the data exchange much more efficient. To find out everything you need to know about Xentry visit the Xentry page on the USEA website.
