Merial Returns As Title Sponsor of Advanced Class At 2011 USEA American Eventing Championships

For the second year Merial is returning as the title sponsor of the Advanced Class at the USEA American Eventing Championships. With Merial’s generous support $20,000 will be up for grabs in the Advanced Class at this year’s AEC.

“The USEA is delighted that Merial is returning as the Advanced Class title sponsor as it enables us to be able to reward our competitors who are contesting the highest level of competition at this year’s American Eventing Championships,” said Jo Whitehouse, USEA CEO.

Last year over 50 horses and riders contested the Merial Advanced Class at the AEC which served as the mandatory outing for the 2010 World Equestrian Games. At the end of the weekend, Becky Holder and Courageous Comet emerged the victors.

Bringing your future eventing prospect with you to a horse trial as a non-compete can be a wonderful educational opportunity for horses not used to the hustle and bustle of the show grounds. Molly Duda’s 2024 got off to a strong start as she completed her first Advanced event with Disco Traveler, her 2023 USEF Eventing Young Rider Championship gold-medal partner. The pair won the Advanced division at Twin Rivers (Paso Robles, California) in February and followed it up with a second-place finish in their first CCI4*-S at Galway Downs (Temecula, California) in March.
