Hunter’s Run Farm in Metamora, Michigan, is thrilled to announce an exciting new addition to their cross-country course—a Modified Division aiming to debut at our USEA event on August 23-24, 2025!
“We are excited to introduce a new Modified division aimed at boosting the eventing community in Michigan and the surrounding areas, providing riders with a unique and dynamic experience to grow the sport locally," shared Event Secretary, Courtney Zachary.
Since 1991, Hunter’s Run Farm has proudly hosted USEA shows, and the team is committed to continue their legacy as a premier event site. By introducing the Modified Division, they would become one of only two event venues in Michigan offering this level, attracting top riders from across the state and Midwest to compete.
“We are truly hoping to receive enough donations to make this dream a reality for eventers," Zachary continued. "This year, we’re expanding our show to two days, starting with dressage and show jumping at the beautiful Rattlewood facility. On the second day, competitors will have the chance to tackle cross-country on the rolling hills and stunning terrain at Hunters Run, creating an unforgettable experience for all involved.”
How You Can Help:
To bring this vision to life, the team behind the Hunter's Run Horse Trials are reaching out to our community for support. The American Horse Trials, a 501(c)(3) organization, is graciously accepting donations on their behalf, giving donors the option to have their donations as a tax write-off. A Venmo account has also been set up for individual contributions. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps Hunter's Run Horse Trials create a world-class course and event right here in Michigan for competitors and spectators alike! All donations at any amount are greatly appreciated.

here was a dramatic finish to cross-country day at the MARS Badminton Horse Trials when the top two riders, Oliver Townend, with Paul and Diana Ridgeon's mare Cooley Rosalent, and Ros Canter with Lordships Graffalo, were both awarded 15 penalties for going the wrong side of a fence flag.
The Yanmar America Tryon International Spring Three-Day Event presented by Tow & Collect kicked off Thursday with dressage in the International Stadium and Rings 6/7, continuing into Friday.
Oliver Townend, who has never made any secret of his desire for another MARS Badminton Horse Trials victory, is now at the head of the leaderboard at the conclusion of the dressage phase.
