Classic Three-Day Horse Inspection
This seminar will discuss the aspects of the USEA Classic Series Three-Day Event Horse Inspections. A traditional long format competition features two horse inspections, one before dressage and then another before show jumping, where competitors present their horses in hand for the ground jury. Lead by well-known USEF licensed Eventing "S" Technical Delegate Cindy Deporter who has a strong background as both a rider and official as well as Dr. Kimberly Keeton, both a veterinarian specializing in lameness and integrative veterinary medical care for the sport horse and an FEI dressage and eventing competitor, Dr. Keeton a unique perspective from both the rider's point of view as well as that of a veterinarian. The emphasis of this seminar will be on what the competitor can expect during the jog, and what the veterinarian and the ground jury are considering when they evaluate these horses.

There will also be a discussion about why a horse would be sent to the “hold” area and what that entails. This will be your crash course for any questions you may have regarding Horse Inspections at USEA Classic Series competitions.
