Great Interviews with USEA President & USEA CEO on Eventing Blog, Three Days Three Ways

I just discovered a neat eventing blog that I think our members will really enjoy: Three Days Three Ways – a blog that specializes in interviews with top riders and people who work “behind-the-scenes.” Not your typical blog with rantings and ravings and personal experiences, this one publishes thoughtful and timely interviews with some of the most prominent and interesting people in our sport today. The latest entries feature a three-part interview with Jo Whitehouse, CEO of USEA, and Kevin Baumgardner, President of USEA. Take a minute to get to know Jo and Kevin – they’re two of the hardest working (not to mention approachable!) people in the sport…who share their thoughts on the long-format, life at the USEA, their favorite eventing memories, and how they got started. It’s well worth the read.

And be sure to check out the other interviews as well:
Emma Ford - Phillip Dutton’s groom ballroom dances and says Connaught would be a huge nerd if he were a person…hehe!
Boyd Martin – his father was an Olympic cross-country skier and mother was an Olympic speed skater…I think it’s safe to say he inherited that athleticism…and competitive tenacity and grit! (Best line of the interview was when asked about how he proposed to his wife: “So we went to Ayers Rock in the center of Australia. I had a plastic ring so I wouldn't have spent too much money in case she said no. I asked her, you know, and she said yes. I figured if she said no I could push her off the rock.” Ha!)
Buck Davidson - “I’m basically a boring person. I don’t drink, don't smoke, don't go out. I go home, watch tv, and go to bed. I'm not that exciting. I'm shy, then maybe once you know me you can’t get me to shut up.”

Jim Wofford (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3): Who shares his always popular and on-target views of modern eventing, his family history, and also his hobbies: “I love to fly fish, and during the winter I do a great deal of duck hunting, usually with a Black Lab beside me. Like the one laying here with me, Nacho, listening to make sure I’ve got it right. We’ve just taken his daughter into the family; her name is Peaches. She’s locked in the garage right now because she’s a bandit.”; (Right: Jim & Nacho at a recent clinic. Josh Walker photo)
Sharon White – hails from Alaska?? She’s known for her orange colors…"I decided on orange because it was a happy color.”
