Gold Cup Fast Facts: Galway Downs International

The first West Coast Adequan USEA Gold Cup event kicks off this weekend at Galway Downs International. Here's some quick information about the event:

  • Live Stream is available thanks to Ride on Video
  • Live Scoring is available thanks to Start Box Scoring
  • 8 Pairs in the Advanced Division
  • 10 Pairs entered in the CIC3* division, 5 of these are also entered in the upcoming Rolex Kentucky CCI4*
  • CIC3*/Advanced cross-country designed by Ian Stark
  • Show jumping designed by Michael Jay Curtis
  • Galway Downs offers food trucks galore including trucks for Belgian waffles, smoothies, BBQ and more!

  • Admission for Galway Downs is $15 and tickets can be purchased here.
  • Competitors, don’t miss the Welcome Reception Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. featuring musician, Lee Koch. Additional tickets are available here.

  • CIC3*
    • Dressage: Friday; 10:50 a.m. – 11:55 a.m.
    • Show Jumping: Friday; 4:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Cross-Country: Saturday; 12:15 p.m. – 12:50 p.m.
  • Advanced
    • Dressage: Friday; 1:30 p.m. – 2:35 p.m.
    • Cross-Country: Saturday; 1:00 p.m. – 1:35 p.m.
    • Show Jumping: Sunday 1:15 p.m. – 1:35 p.m. Awards to immediately follow

About the Adequan USEA Gold Cup

Qualifying for the 2016 Adequan USEA Gold Cup Championship began last fall with the Richland Park Advanced & CIC3* (MI), Aspen Farms Advanced (WA), Plantation Field Advanced & CIC3* (PA) and the Woodside International Advanced & CIC3* (CA) and features 11 qualifying competitions throughout the United States at the Advanced Horse Trials and CIC3* levels. The final will take place at the Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships, September 1-4 in Tryon, North Carolina. Riders who complete a qualifier earn the chance to vie for $40,000 in prize money and thousands of dollars in prizes in the Adequan Advanced Division and the title of Adequan USEA Gold Cup Champion.
