The Full Moon Farm Eventing Foundation (FMFEF) welcomed KIND Wins to host two workshops on Jan. 11 in an effort to educate riders, parents, barn management & staff in promoting positivity, good mental health, and to prevent bullying. Representatives held two sessions, the first for adults and staff, the second for younger riders including those part of equitation teams.

During the sessions, attendees were invited to share experiences and ideas on how to uphold the mission, vision, and core values of Full Moon Farm (FMF) and were challenged to find ways to incorporate the KIND Wins pillars in the equestrian community by using the resources provided during the workshops to identify where inclusion could be lacking. Both sessions concluded a commitment by adults and children to implement the KIND Wins framework of Know your impact, Include others, Notice & act, Defend & support.

“Full Moon Farm showed up ready to embrace Kind Wins! From barn management to trainers to riders, everyone was all-in on building a barn culture that supports kindness, respect, and growth. The excitement and buy-in made it clear—Full Moon Farm is committed to being a place where people and horses thrive,” said Hilary Yager, KIND Wins Program Director and workshop host.

Full Moon Farm and FMFEF have committed to continuing and improving a space that upholds the framework and plans to do so with action, additional trainings, and physically displaying the message in the barn via banner signed by all participants and through social media efforts.

“KIND Wins really helped with putting our mission, vision, and core values into perspective with how we can strive to be our best selves daily. It reminded me how special it is to be a part of barn that says ‘have a great ride’ to every person, every ride,” said Katrina Davis, FMF rider and FMFEF Secretary.

The program gives riders, parents, trainers, and barn management simple language and shared tools to help create a barn where everyone belongs. It encourages kindness, inclusion, and teamwork both on the ground and in the saddle. For more information about Kind Wins or to host a workshop at your barn, click here.
