FEH East Coast Championship Boasts Record Entries

Leesburg, Va. – The USEA is pleased to announce that two additional Championship judges will be added for the 2016 USEA Future Event Horse (FEH) East Coast Championships at Loch Moy Farm (Adamstown, Md.) on October 6th.
Due to the overwhelming amount of FEH Championship entries on the east coast, the USEA has secured two additional Championship judges. To encourage participation, the yearling and 2-year-old classes will run alongside the 3-year-old class simultaneously. This will ensure the Championship can run smoothly without limiting entries. The yearlings and 2-year-olds will now be judged by prestigious judge and FEH Chair Susan Graham White, and judge and FEH Committee member Samantha Allan, who also judged last year’s FEH Championship. The 3-year-olds will still be judged by Robin Walker and Phyllis Dawson, who just returned from judging the West Coast FEH Championship at Twin Rivers Ranch. Dawson and Walker will judge the 3-year-olds in the triangle format in-hand class, as well as in the free-jump and canter class.
Loch Moy Farm is still running a last minute qualifier the day before the Championship, on October 5th. There will also be a jump chute clinic that day at the farm, led by Klaus Schengber. Click here to learn more, and register on the Loch Moy Farm website.
Loch Moy Farm is still in need for more volunteers at the Championship, so please consider volunteering through their online sign-up at eventingvolunteers.com. All positions are listed, and you may also email directly at [email protected].
The USEA would like to thank FEH presenting sponsor Priefert for providing a jump chute structure for the West Coast, which was custom built for the FEH program with safety being the main priority in the design. The custom structure is composed of 12-foot long mesh wire panels, each standing 7-feet tall. The USEA would also like to thank the other FEH Series and Championship Sponsors: SmartPak, Standlee Hay, Professional’s Choice, and Merck Animal Health.
