Clark and Law Take Command of the YEH Championships

By USEA | September 10, 2008

It came down to the very end, but Samantha Clark's talented young Trakehner gelding Asterion (Windfall--Asteria), who was bred by Dr. Timothy & Cheryl Holekamp of New Spring Farm, won the coveted five-year-old trophy at this year's Spalding Labs/USEA Championships. Fondly known as "Silver Bullet," Clark's grey gelding lived up to his name and jumped the best out of the field of ten in the five-year-olds, winning with an overall score of 84.21. (Joshua A. Olympic gold medallist Leslie Law partnered with Dr. Timothy & Cheryl Holekamp's Trakehner mare Amarna (Amethyst--Actress) to top the field in the four-year-old division with a 81.48. (Joshua A. Walker photo).
