Chattahoochee Hills Eventing Welcomes New Additions To Their Team

Carl Bouckaert, owner of Bouckaert Farm at Chattahoochee Hills, is pleased to announce that J.J. Johnson and Hugh Lochore will be joining the Chattahoochee Hills team beginning with the April 7-8 Horse Trials.

“After a long and wonderful cooperation, Ritch Temple has decided to pursue other interests,” said Carl Bouckaert. “We appreciate all his beautiful work in designing, building, and establishing Chattahoochee Hills Eventing. J.J. Johnson and Hugh Lochore have been engaged to guarantee the continuation of Chattahoochee Hills' commitment to quality and hospitality.”

J.J. Johnson will assume responsibilities as organizer of the events at Chattahoochee Hills which include three horse trials, two FEI events, and for the third and final year, the Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships. J.J. has been the organizer for the Middle Tennessee Pony Club Horse Trials in Nashville, TN for 25 years.

Hugh Lochore will be taking over as cross-country course designer for Chattahoochee Hills. Hugh has been an FEI course designer for over 15 years, predominantly working in the UK and Europe. He has lived in Tallahassee, FL for five years and has been course designer for the Red Hills International for three years, as well as the Full Gallop Horse Trials in Aiken, SC.

One Spun, 34 to Move Forward in Defender Kentucky CCI5*-L

The CCI5*-L field was narrowed by one this afternoon following the first horse inspection on High Hope Inspection Lane at the 2025 Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event. Horse and rider pairs were looking their best, with a few horses demonstrating their readiness for the upcoming competition through their flamboyant behavior (we're looking at you Bronte Beach Z and Dyri).
