Chattahoochee Hills Cancels Oct. 24-25 Horse Trials
Chattahoochee Hills has been forced to cancel their last Horse Trial of the calendar year. The event, held on Bouckaert Farm, hosted a large international music festival in September. Unfortunately the combination of concert-goers and rain left the farm unfit for competitors.
Event Director Hugh Lochore explains. "The recent music festival held on the competition grounds was a relative success but bad weather played a big part and it has left us with critical parts of our cross country course and road system that simply will not be usable in the short term. We have tried to make this decision in as timely a manner as possible to give competitors as much opportunity to shop around for other suitable events in the area. Reparations are under way and with significant investment, Chatt Hills will come out in the spring in better shape than ever!"
Chattahoochee Hills is the usual sight of the Fall Collegiate Team Challenge. Because of the cancellation, the Team Challenge will now be held at Poplar Place Farm during their November 7-8 Horse Trial.
