Busy Weekend For YEH and FEH Competitions
Next weekend will be a busy time for the Spalding Labs/USEA Young Event Horse program with four competitions taking place over two days.
On Saturday Stony Brook Farm is hosting a Future Event Horse competition along with the Young Event Horse. They are also offering a “New” Event Horse division for all those who wish to have their horse evaluated by a professional or to just get a taste of what a horse trials is all about. The other big event taking place on Saturday is at Goose Downs Farm. It is the perfect opportunity for all you West Coasters to get your second qualifier before the Championships at Twin Rivers on September 23rd. For all those West Coast people that are not within driving distance to Goose Downs Farm, you are in luck because on Sunday September 5th Lone Tree Farm is offering not only a Future Event Horse competition but they have now added Spalding Labs/USEA Young Event Horse divisions to help out anyone wishing to get a qualifying score for the West Coast Championships. Lone Tree Farm is also hosting a Derby for all older horses or first time riders to get some experience under their belt. If there are any East Coast YEH horses looking to get a second qualifying score or even your first, along with some cash to go into your pocket, be sure to make it down to the Cedar Ridge Farm Spalding Labs/USEA Young Event Horse competition. They will also be hosting the Future Event Horse Classes. The owners of Cedar Ridge Farm, Carolyn & Thomas Cadier, have gone to great efforts to acquire cash prizes from local businesses for their event. For the YEH classes there will be a cash prize of $250 for each first place winner along with cash prizes through 3rd place. Let’s show the Cadier’s how much we appreciate their hard work by entering their event! Be sure not to miss out on these final YEH and FEH competitions of the year! They are great opportunities to get your qualifiers for the Championships.
