After securing the lead Friday, August 19, in the FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ Canada following solid dressage scores from all team riders, the American eventers defended their lead with formidable jumping performances to win the seventh leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ Canada. As one of the most important equestrian events in Canada, the trials serves as the venue for the only FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ leg to be held in North America.
Perfect weather and friendly competition kicked off the weekend at the FEI Eventing Nations Cup Canada in Bromont, Quebec at the Olympic Equestrian Park. The highly anticipated event held at this historic location may be best known to most eventers as the venue for the MARS Bromont CCI, a very popular event held in June and also organized by Sue Ockendon, but none-the-less top athletes flocked to North America for a chance at team gold.

In accordance with Art. 1029 and 1031 of the FEI 2022 Veterinary Regulations, as of January 1, 2022, ALL horses competing at ALL FEI Events must fulfill the Horse Health Requirements via the FEI HorseApp. The FEI HorseApp is available for Athletes, National Federations, Veterinarians, Grooms, Owners, Trainers, and Organizing Committees.
The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) has confirmed the appointment of Pierre Le Goupil (FRA) as Course Designer for Eventing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. A master in his field and highly respected by his peers in a role that requires enormous skill, Pierre Le Goupil (59) knows the sport from both sides of the fence. Born in a family entirely dedicated to horse sport and breeding, his father Andre Le Goupil had been a member of the French Eventing squad at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City – a memory that Le Goupil still has clear in his mind.

The FEI Board has named the qualifiers for the 2022/2023 season of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ Series during its teleconference meeting this week.
The FEI President has welcomed the announcement by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that equestrian sport will be proposed for inclusion in the Olympic program for the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
“We must continue to educate the non-equestrian community about equestrian sport and our values as there is a lot of misinformation which exists out there and could threaten the integrity of the sport we love.”
The FEI has announced that the Swiss horse Jet Set, ridden by Robin Godel has had to be euthanized after pulling up extremely lame on the Sea Forest Cross Country Course during Equestrian Eventing at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 on August 1, 2021.
It’s the turn of the world’s best eventing athletes to stand under the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games spotlight over the next few days as all but one of the horses presented at this morning’s horse inspection at Baji Koen Equestrian Park were confirmed for action by the Ground Jury.
All three equestrian disciplines – Jumping, Dressage, and Eventing – have been formally confirmed for the Paris 2024 Olympic program. In addition, the six events – team and individual across each of the three disciplines – and the full quota of 200 athlete/horse combinations have also been endorsed.
