By USEA | October 16, 2010

Last year's West Coast Spalding Labs USEA Young Event Horse 4-Year-Old Champion, Artesian, came east this year to win the 5-Year-Old Championship with Will Coleman in the irons, finishing on a score of 83.80. Owned by Lucia Strini and Plain Dealing Farm, Coleman is helping develop this 16.3-hand Dutch Warmblood gelding (Judgement x Shannondoah), previously ridden by Robyn Fisher, for Strini, as a true international prospect. Boateng (Unitstar x Ottie), piloted by Matt Flynn, took home top honors in the 4-year-old division. The Dutch Warmblood, co-owned by Flynn and Tyler Abell, scored a 78.55. Josh Walker photo.
