Fairburn, GA (October 13, 2010) – Three riders in the Junior/Young Rider Open Preliminary division at the 2010 Land Rover/USEA American Eventing Championships rode away with Performance and Conditioning Awards from Arenus, a premier provider of innovative health and nutritional products for pets and horses. Arenus features the product families ASSURE® digestive aids, STEADFAST® joint & structural health product, EQUILITE™ herbal blends, SORE NO-MORE® topicals, ALEIRA™ respiratory health product and RELEIRA™ DHA/Omega-3 supplement. Arenus sponsored the Performance and Conditioning Award at the competition held at Chattahoochee Hills in Fairburn, Georgia.
Arenus awarded Performance and Conditioning Awards to Felicia Bradley of Kennesaw, Georgia; Tripp Edwards of Midland, Texas; and Chase Beach of Lewes, Delaware. “The Performance and Conditioning Award was to be given to the rider in the Junior/Young Rider Open Preliminary division who was closest to the optimum time, and it ended up being a three-way tie,” said Emily Daily of U.S. Eventing.

Bradley, who rode her six-year-old Dutch Warmblood/Irish Sporthorse gelding Garryndruig Albie, at the USEA Championship was thrilled to win the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award. “Garryndruig Albie was brilliant and we were in second place after the dressage and we were first after cross country,” Bradley said. “Then I fell off a different horse in the warm-up and hurt my leg. I still rode Garryndruig Albie in the stadium jumping but we crashed through the triple and ended up eighth. He was behind my leg going into the triple because my leg was really bothering me. As it turns out, my leg was broken and I won’t be able to ride for four to six weeks.”
Despite the unfortunate turn of events for Bradley, she is still looking forward to the future and hopes to move her gelding up to the Intermediate level by the winter. “I loved winning the Arenus gift certificate and I know I will get to order great products with it,” she said. “I already use their Sore NO-MORE® liniment, gel and poultice, but this will give me a chance to look at some of their other products.”
Arenus Business Manager Simone Pophal, DVM, PhD, congratulated Bradley, Edwards and Beach on winning the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Awards and wished Bradley a speedy recovery. “I know all three riders should be proud of having horses that are fit and capable of coming in so close to the optimum time,” Pophal said. “I know they will also enjoy learning about our great variety of products in the Arenus family, including ALEIRA a unique daily supplement designed to support respiratory health in horses.”
ALEIRA provides multilevel support to maintain healthy respiratory function and contains an all-vegetarian, fish oil-free source of Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), one of the most beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids found in nature, along with Mushroom Matrix® to help maintain lung function and immunity. ALEIRA is available in a highly palatable powder form in 45 or 90 servings.
