The USEA would like to feature your IEL team! The USEA Interscholastic Eventing League (IEL) is in its first year and currently has 82 registered teams from every USEA area and 46 events hosting an interscholastic team challenge.

With the growing popularity in this new program, the USEA would like to include an IEL team spotlight series on the USEA website and the USEA social media. This spotlight series will be similar to the USEA Intercollegiate Spotlight series that was run in early 2020.

For IEL teams who want to be featured, please have the team representative submit a short article to [email protected] that highlights the team and team members. Below are several questions to consider addressing in the article.

  • Can you share a little about your team?
  • How many team members do you have?
  • Who is your team coach (if applicable)?
  • What does your team do for fun?
  • What makes your eventing team unique?
  • What are the team’s future goals?

**Please keep the article under 1,200 words, please attach at least one photo, and please make sure to include the author’s name.

About the USEA Interscholastic Eventing League

In August 2020, the USEA Board of Governors approved the creation of the USEA Interscholastic Eventing League (IEL) as an official program of the USEA. The mission of IEL is to bring together junior riders who are in the 7-12th grade and provide a supportive community through which students can continue to pursue their riding interests. A group of junior members in the 7th-12th grade who share a common bond (same barn, same school, same Pony Club, etc.) register with the USEA as an interscholastic team.
