Sir Oberon - accepted after a visit with the farrier.
Two were sent to the hold box – Ellen Doughty-Hume’s Sir Oberon and Chase and Darcy Shipka’s Palm Crescent, ridden by Meghan O’Donoghue – but were reaccepted upon their second presentation. Sir Oberon pulled a shoe on the jog strip, but felt much better after a quick visit with the farrier. Palm Crescent seemed a little sleepy in his first trot up, but once he was encouraged to have a more enthusiastic trot, the ground jury was happy to send him onto the show jumping competition.
