AEC Entries Warrant Additional Divisions

Entries for the 2016 Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Land Rover (AEC) close in less than a week, and we are thrilled to see so many competitors excited to join us at the AEC’s new location, The Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) in Mill Spring, N.C.
Because of this surge in entries, especially in the amateur divisions, for the first time in the history of the AEC Master divisions will be added to the Beginner Novice, Novice and Training levels for competitors 40 years of age or older. Competitors who opted for the amateur divisions and fit the age requirement will automatically be put into these classes. The organizing committee is also happy to announce the return of the 14 and Under division for those entered in Junior Beginner Novice at the AEC within that age range.
The TIEC has also announced that the course maps for all of the AEC cross-country courses will be released the week of August 15. This release is a full two weeks earlier than the normal course map release for the AEC and is intended to allow all competitors to view the paths of the new cross-country tracks prior to the event closing date. Stay tuned for more information.
AEC will take place August 31 – September 4, 2016 and the closing date is next Tuesday, August 16!
