Three USEA YEH Grads Named to Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for FEI Eventing Nations Cup Canada CCIO4*-S

US Equestrian announced the four combinations selected to represent the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team at the FEI Eventing Nations Cup Canada CCIO4*-S, three of which are graduates of the USEA Young Event Horse (YEH) program. Competition will take place from August 18-21, 2022, at Bromont Horse Park in Quebec, Canada. The team will be led by Chef d’Equipe Leslie Law.

Coleman, Grald, Nicholson, Martin, and Smith Named to U.S. FEI Eventing World Championships Team

After a long-anticipated wait, US Equestrian has announced their team selections for the 2022 FEI Eventing World Championships which will take place at Pratoni del Vivaro in Rome, Italy on September 15-18, 2022. Making up this year’s World Championships roster are Will Coleman and his own 13-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding Off The Record (VDL Arkansas x Drumogoland Bay), Ariel Grald and Annie Elridge’s 13-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding Leamore Master Plan (Master Imp x Andragh Bash), Lauren Nicholson and Jacqueline Mars’ 15-year-old Anglo-Arab gelding Vermiculus (Serazim x Wake Me Gently), Boyd Martin and Christine Turner’s 15-year-old Trakehner gelding Tsetserleg TSF (Windfall x Thabana), and Tamra Smith and Alexandra and Ellen Ahearn and Eric Markell’s 16-year-old German Sport Horse gelding Mai Baum (Loredano x Ramiro). Will Coleman and Team Rebecca LLC’s 12-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding Dondante are the Direct Reserve and Phillip Dutton will serve as the Traveling Reserve with the Z Partnership’s 14-year-old Zangersheide gelding Z (Asca x Bellabouche).

USEA President Max Corcoran Appointed USEF Eventing Elite Program and Team Facilitator

On May 1, 2022, Max Corcoran was appointed as the Eventing Elite Program and Team Facilitator. In her role, Corcoran will support the areas of communication, logistics, and management of the teams for the Eventing Programs to deliver sustained success at World and Olympic Games level. As the Facilitator, she will work closely with the interim Chef d’Equipe/Team Manager, Bobby Costello, and eventing staff to build solid lines of communication with athletes, grooms, owners, coaches, veterinarians, and all stakeholders linked to the athletes and develop the structures around the Elite Program and senior U.S. Eventing Team.
