The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is thrilled to announce the calendar for another successful year of the USEA Interscholastic Eventing League (IEL). The 2026 season is shaping up to be better than ever! Junior riders are encouraged to gather their barn mates, classmates, Pony Club members, and friends to form an IEL Club and take part in this exciting team-based program.

In 2026, a total of 56 events plan to host IEL Team Challenges at venues across seven different USEA Areas (Areas I, II, III, IV, VI, VII, and VIII). These opportunities allow IEL members to gain valuable team competition experience while enjoying the camaraderie that makes the program so special. Make sure you don’t miss out on the fun and register a new IEL Club today to start planning your 2026 competition season.

The USEA Interscholastic Eventing League (IEL) was created as an official program of the USEA in August 2020 with the mission to unite junior riders in grades 5 through 12 and provide a supportive community through which students can continue to pursue their riding interests. IEL Team Challenges, which are competed in teams of three or four riders, often serve as a junior rider’s first introduction to team competition. The program championship will be held at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina on May 15-17, 2026.

The USEA Interscholastic Eventing League Championship will be hosted alongside the USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship again this year. This shared championship weekend, which will be exclusive to program members for the first time this year, offers a unique opportunity for middle and high school-aged riders to meet and interact with collegiate athletes and coaches, helping them learn more about institutions that they may be interested in attending in the future.

View the list of IEL Team Challenges below and start planning your season. Please note that the calendar is tentative and subject to change. New Team Challenges may be added throughout the year, and members are encouraged to reach out to their favorite local organizers to invite them to apply to host an IEL Team Challenge.

About the USEA Interscholastic Eventing League (IEL)

In August 2020, the USEA Board of Governors approved the creation of the USEA Interscholastic Eventing League (IEL) as an official program of the USEA. The mission of IEL is to unite junior riders who are in the 5th—12th grade and provide a supportive community through which students can continue to pursue their riding interests. A group of junior members in the 5th—12th grade who share a common bond, such as the same barn, school, Pony Club, or other connection, can register with the USEA as an IEL Club. The 2026 USEA Intercollegiate & IEL Championships will be held at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, on May 15-17. Click here to learn more about the Interscholastic Eventing League.

The USEA would like to thank Bates Saddles, Horse & Country, Kerrits, PulseVet, Sidelines, U.S. Equestrian, WeRideTogether, World Equestrian Brands, and Young Rider Magazine for sponsoring the USEA Interscholastic Eventing League.
